Tembo Tour — Kenya

Meet your guide and depart from Mombasa airport for Taita Hills. Midway we will make a brief stop at a restaurant for lunch.

In the afternoon, depart for a second game drive until evening and arrive at the lodge, built on stilts overlooking a waterhole where animals quench their thirst. After dinner, there's a possibility to participate in a night safari (optional, not included in the price) accompanied by an expert ranger. The savanna comes alive at night: with a bit of luck, you might witness hunting scenes and encounters between predators.

Return to the lodge and overnight stay.

Wake up at dawn for a morning game drive, the ideal time to observe lions and other predators before the sun heats up the savanna. Breakfast at the lodge and continuation of the safari, as you leave the reserve to reach Tsavo East National Park.

At the park entrance, a new game drive begins up to Mudanda Rock, a rock formation 1.5 km long and 20 m high, with a waterhole at its base where animals gather in the dry season. It is one of the few points in the park where you can get out of the jeep for a short walking safari.

We will continue our safari, heading towards the lodge/tented camp, check-in, lunch, and relaxation. In the afternoon, depart for another game drive until evening, then return to camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Wake up at dawn for the last morning safari, when felines are most active. Breakfast at the camp then check-out and departure for the last game drive towards the park exit. Final stop to admire the crocodiles along the Galana River. Arrive in Watamu and check-in to your hotel or resort.
