Twiga Tour — Kenya
One wild day among doum palms, acacia trees, immense open spaces and wildlife in the vast Tsavo East.
Day 1
WATAMU – TSAVO EAST – WATAMU
Departure from your accommodation for Tsavo East National Park in a 4x4 jeep (equipped with an open roof to facilitate animal sightings).
During the journey, we will cross authentic villages where you will see houses built with mud (typical red soil of Tsavo), beautiful forests, and large expanses of plantations. Arrival near the entrance to Tsavo Park; a short break on the bank of the Galana River to admire and photograph up close the crocodiles and friendly monkeys that populate this place.
Subsequently, we will begin our first game drive (photo safari) in search of zebras, elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, lions, gazelles, antelopes, cheetahs, and many other animals that inhabit the savanna.
Founded in 1948, with its 13,747 sq km, Tsavo East National Park is one of the largest and oldest parks in Kenya; it began as a single large park, later divided into two: Tsavo East and Tsavo West.
Arrival at the lodge for our buffet lunch.
Immediately after lunch, departure for the second game drive towards the park exit. Return to your accommodation in the evening.
