Zazu Tour — Kenya

The departure will take place from your village in the morning, heading towards Tsavo East National Park, aboard a 4x4 jeep equipped with an open roof, perfect for facilitating animal sightings. During the journey, you will have the opportunity to pass through authentic local villages, where you can admire houses built with mud, typical of the red earth of Tsavo, along with splendid forests and vast plantation fields, which make the landscape particularly picturesque.

Here we will make one of our first stops, where you can choose to take a walk through the villages or visit a local school. After this stop, we will continue towards the entrance of Tsavo East National Park (Sala Gate). Before entering, we will stop at a refreshment point a few steps from the entrance, where you can get off and approach the banks of the Galana River to admire the crocodiles and observe the friendly monkeys that inhabit the area.

After this short break, we will head towards the park gate. Once the entry formalities are completed, we will begin our first photo safari in search of the big cats, which abound in the park along with the elephants. We will stop at Hippo Point to admire the hippos in their natural habitat. Continuing, we will head towards Lugard's Falls, where we will stop to admire the striking landscape and enjoy some fresh fruit prepared by our driver.

Later we will arrive at the lodge, where we will check-in and enjoy a buffet lunch. After lunch, you will have time to relax in your room or take a dip in the pool. The location of this lodge is spectacular: it offers breathtaking views of the savannah and the opportunity to observe animals up close thanks to a tunnel that leads to a waterhole frequented by wildlife.

In the afternoon we will depart for another photo safari, until the last rays of sun, heading towards Mudanda Rock (if time permits). After the afternoon photo safari, we will return to the Lodge.

Dinner and overnight stay

The day starts early, waking up at dawn to begin an exciting morning game drive. At this time of day, predators are still active and looking for their prey, as many animals prefer to move at dawn and dusk, when temperatures are cooler. We will return to the lodge, where a delicious breakfast awaits us.

After checking out, we will prepare for the second and last photo safari of the day, this time in search of the elegant giraffes as we head towards the park exit. Once out of Tsavo East National Park, we will head towards Crocodile Camp, located right at the gates of the park.

Here, we will have lunch in an enchanting setting, on the banks of the Galana River, where we will have the opportunity to safely observe elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and other animals that frequent the river banks.

After lunch, we will have free time to relax; those who wish can also take a dip in the pool, enjoying the view of the surrounding nature. In the afternoon, we will depart for the return journey to Watamu. Arrival is expected in the evening, with the memories of the wonderful adventures experienced in the park still fresh in mind and heart.
