One Thousand and One Nights — The Magic of Morocco

Day 1: ARRIVAL IN MOROCCO Arrival at Marrakech International Airport, transfer by private car with an Italian-speaking driver to a typical Moroccan Riad near the famous Jemaa el Fna Square. Dinner at leisure. Overnight stay in Riad.

Day 2: MARRAKECH AND BOUMALNE DADES – approx. 347 km Breakfast in Riad. Transfer for the desert circuit: we will cross rural Telouet (128km) then pass through the natural oasis of Skoura (119km) and end up in the fragrant Rose Valley (63km). Lunch at leisure. After lunch, a photo stop at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with the possibility of visiting the Kasbah. The last stop of the day is Boumalne Dades (37km), right halfway to the Sahara. Accommodation in typical kasbahs with dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: TODRA GORGES AND MERZOUGA – approx. 250 km Breakfast. Departure for the Todra Gorges (54km), an impressive 160-meter canyon. Departure for Erfoud (141km), wandering through the typical spice-flavored Arab city. Lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, an optional stop at a typical shop for a panoramic photo with local clothes and the possibility of buying a Tuareg scarf to face the desert. Continue to the sandy desert of Merzouga (55 km) where we will ride a dromedary, on which we will walk through the golden dunes at sunset. Accommodation in Bedouin tents right at the foot of the sand dunes. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: MERZOUGA DUNES / KHAMLIA VILLAGE / ZAGORA – approx. 280 km Early morning short walk to witness the sunrise over the sand dunes. Return to the tented camp for breakfast. Visit to the village of Khamlia, known for the spiritual music of the Gnawa. Lunch at leisure. Departure for Zagora (280km) through the village of Rissani, the natural city of the present “Alaouites” dynasty, and Alnif. Dinner at leisure and overnight stay in a Riad in Zagora.

Day 5: ZAGORA / OUARZAZATE / MARRAKECH – approx. 351 km Breakfast in Riad. Departure for Marrakech (351km). From Agdz, we travel a road built in the Draa river valley that crosses numerous villages and palm groves before arriving in Ouarzazate (160km), an explosion of green amidst the gold of the sand, a centuries-old pearl of Maghrebine trade and a film set for Hollywood movies. Optional visit to the Studios. Lunch at leisure. Continue through the Tich’n Tichka pass. Expected arrival in the late afternoon. Accommodation in Riad. Dinner at leisure. Overnight stay in a Riad in Marrakech.

Day 6: MARRAKECH Breakfast. Guided tour of Marrakech, after a brief introduction to the city's history and its main attractions, the tour will begin by visiting the famous Jemaa el-Fna Square, the beating heart of city life surrounded by its souks, the traditional markets of Marrakech, where you will find an infinite number of shops selling all kinds of items. We will visit Bahia Palace and the beautiful Ben Youssef Madrasa, one of the most important examples of Islamic architecture in Morocco. Lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, transfer for a visit to the Majorelle Gardens, designed in the 1920s by the French painter Jacques Majorelle and now owned by the designer Yves Saint Laurent, visit his famous museum. Dinner at leisure and overnight stay in a Riad in Marrakech. Dinner at leisure and overnight stay in a Riad.

Day 7: FREE DAY Breakfast and full day at disposal for any independent visits and excursions outside the city. Lunch and dinner at leisure. Overnight stay in a Riad in Marrakech.

Day 8: MARRAKECH AND RETURN TO ITALY Breakfast in Riad and transfer to Marrakech airport. Experience the last moments of typical Arab daily life before heading to the airport and saying goodbye to this unforgettable experience.
