Oriental Nights — Desert Experience

Day 1: ARRIVAL IN MOROCCO Arrival at Marrakech International Airport, transfer by private car with an Italian-speaking driver to a typical Moroccan Riad near the famous Jemaa el Fna Square. Dinner at your leisure. Overnight stay in Riad.

Day 2: MARRAKECH AND BOUMALNE DADES – approx. 347 km Breakfast in Riad. Transfer for the desert circuit: we will cross rural Telouet (128km) then pass through the natural oasis of Skoura (119km) and finally reach the fragrant Valley of Roses (63km). Lunch at your leisure. After lunch, a photo stop at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with the possibility of visiting the Kasbah. The last stop of the day is Boumalne Dades (37km), right halfway to the Sahara. Accommodation in typical kasbahs with dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: TODRA GORGES AND MERZOUGA – approx. 250 km Breakfast. Departure for the Todra Gorges (54km), a striking canyon of 160 meters. Departure for Erfoud (141km), meandering through the typical spicy-flavored Arab city. Lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, optional stop at a typical shop for a panoramic photo with local clothes and the possibility to buy a Tuareg scarf to face the desert. Continue to the sandy desert of Merzouga (55 km) where we will ride a dromedary, on which we will walk through the golden dunes at sunset. Accommodation in Bedouin tents right at the foot of the sand dunes. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: TRANSFER TO MARRAKECH – approx. 553 km Breakfast. Transfer day to Marrakech. We will cross Ouarzazate (367km), an explosion of green amidst the gold of the sand, a century-old pearl of Maghrebi trade and a film set for Hollywood movies. Optional visit to the Studios. Lunch at your leisure along the way. Transfer to Marrakech (197km) with accommodation at a traditional Riad. Dinner at your leisure. Overnight stay in Riad.

Day 5: MARRAKECH Breakfast. Guided tour of Marrakech, after a brief introduction to the city's history and its main attractions, the tour will begin by visiting the famous Jemaa el-Fna Square, the beating heart of city life surrounded by its souks, Marrakech's traditional markets, where you will find an endless number of shops selling all kinds of items. You will visit Bahia Palace and the beautiful Ben Youssef Madrasa, one of the most important examples of Islamic architecture in Morocco. Lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, transfer for a visit to the Majorelle Gardens, designed in the 1920s by French painter Jacques Majorelle and now owned by designer Yves Saint Laurent, visit his famous museum. Dinner at your leisure and overnight stay in Riad in Marrakech.

Day 6: OURIKA VALLEY & WATERFALLS – approx. 44 km Breakfast. Transfer to the Ourika Valley (44km). Visit a village with the opportunity to visit a typical Berber house: red clay walls, a cattle shed, an outdoor washhouse, and a hearth area where bread is baked, which we will have the opportunity to taste. Typical Moroccan lunch included in the Berber house. Finally, possibility of climbing up to the Setti-Fatma waterfall in the Ourika Valley. Dinner at your leisure. Overnight stay in the Marrakech Riad.

Day 7: ESSAOUIRA AND ARGAN – approx. 177 km Breakfast. Transfer and free visit to the city of Essaouira (177km), famous above all for its sensational Medina by the sea, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The fortress, the white and iridescent walls, the relaxed atmosphere of its inhabitants, the Kasbah, the artisan shops, make this city unique and with a European flavor. Lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, visit the Argan cooperative, entirely run by women of all ages who sit on the ground working the Argan seeds, from cleaning to pounding. Transfer to Marrakech. Dinner at your leisure. Overnight stay in Riad.

Day 8: RETURN TO ITALY Breakfast in Riad and transfer to Marrakech airport. Experience the last moments of typical Arab daily life before heading to the airport and saying goodbye to this unforgettable experience.
