Sahara Trails Plus — Between Cities and Desert

Day 1: ARRIVAL IN MOROCCO Arrival at Marrakech International Airport, transfer by private car with an Italian-speaking driver to a typical Moroccan Riad near the famous Jemaa el Fna Square. Dinner at leisure. Overnight stay in Riad.

Day 2: MARRAKECH AND BOUMALNE DADES – approximately 347 km Breakfast in Riad. Transfer for the circuit towards the desert: we will cross rural Telouet (128km) then pass through the natural oasis of Skoura (119km) and finally reach the fragrant Rose Valley (63km). Lunch at leisure. After lunch, a photo stop at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with the possibility of visiting the Kasbah. The last stop of the day is Boumalne Dades (37km), right halfway to the Sahara. Accommodation in typical kasbahs with dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: TODRA GORGES AND MERZOUGA – approximately 250 km Breakfast. Departure for the Todra Gorges (54km), an impressive canyon of 160 meters. Departure for Erfoud (141km), wandering through the typical spicy Arab city. Lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, optional stop at a typical shop for a panoramic photo with local clothes and the possibility of buying a Tuareg scarf to face the desert. Continuation to the sandy desert of Merzouga (55 km) where we will ride a dromedary, on which we will walk through the golden dunes at sunset. Accommodation in Bedouin tents right at the foot of the sand dunes. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: TRANSFER TO MARRAKECH – approximately 553 km Breakfast. Transfer day to Marrakech. We will cross Ouarzazate (367km), an explosion of green in the midst of the golden sand, a centuries-old pearl of Maghrebine trade and a film set for Hollywood movies. Optional visit to the Studios. Lunch at leisure along the way. Transfer to Marrakech (197km) with accommodation at the traditional Riad. Dinner at leisure. Overnight stay in Riad.

Day 5: MARRAKECH Breakfast. Guided tour of Marrakech, after a brief introduction to the city's history and its main attractions, the tour will begin by visiting the famous Jemaa el-Fna Square, the pulsating heart of city life surrounded by its souks, the traditional markets of Marrakech, where you will find an infinite number of shops selling all kinds of articles. You will visit Bahia Palace and the beautiful Ben Youssef Madrasa, one of the most important examples of Islamic architecture in Morocco. Lunch and free afternoon. Dinner at leisure and overnight stay in Riad.

Day 6: MARRAKECH AND RETURN TO ITALY Breakfast in Riad and transfer to Marrakech airport. Experience the last moments of typical Arab daily life before heading to the airport and saying goodbye to this unforgettable experience.
