Day 3 – Ngorongoro

The visit to the Ngorongoro crater will amaze you with the variety of ecosystems that coexist within it: savannah, acacia forests, lakes, swamps and salt pans. Day 4 & 5 – Northern Serengeti

We will spend four days in East Africa's most important protected natural area, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will search for the giants of the savannah, better known as the BIG FIVE: elephant, lion, leopard, rhinoceros and buffalo. During these 4 days we will also have the opportunity to witness the Great Migration phenomenon, during which herds of ungulates move north of the park to cross the crocodile-infested Grumeti River. Serengeti is renowned for its incredible biodiversity. In addition to the migrations of wildebeest and zebras, the park is home to a wide range of species, including elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, leopards, black rhinos, hippos, and numerous bird species. The variety of habitats, which includes grasslands, savannas, woodlands, and rivers, contributes to the richness of the wildlife. Serengeti National Park has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is involved in various conservation activities to protect its extraordinary biodiversity. Efforts have been made to combat illegal hunting, preserve natural habitats, and involve local communities in the sustainable management of resources. Return for dinner and overnight stay at Into Wild Camp – Central Serengeti (or similar)

Serengeti is home to one of the few remaining black rhino populations in Tanzania. These majestic animals are threatened by illegal hunting for their horns, and conservation efforts are underway to protect them. Serengeti lions are known for their hunting skills. The open grassland of the park provides an ideal terrain for the lions' hunting strategies, who often work together to encircle and hunt prey. Dinner and overnight stay at Marera Valley Lodge (or similar)

Day 8 – Tarangire

Tarangire National Park is a protected area located in the northern part of Tanzania, known for its scenic beauty, rich flora and fauna, and the presence of the Tarangire River.
