Safari Timon

A five-day itinerary through the three main parks of northern Tanzania.

Day 1 – Arrival

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to the hotel with a welcome from our staff. Welcome dinner to savor local flavors and discuss the itinerary at Marera Valley Lodge (or similar)

Day 2 – Ngorongoro

The visit to the Ngorongoro crater will amaze you with the variety of ecosystems coexisting within it: savanna, acacia forests, lakes, swamps, and salt pans. For this reason, the concentration of wildlife is astonishing, consisting of herds of zebras and wildebeest, numerous flamingo colonies, and countless bird species, as well as lions, elephants, and hyenas. Dinner and overnight stay at Into Wild Camp (or similar)

Day 3 – Serengeti

The Serengeti is renowned for its incredible biodiversity. In addition to the migrations of wildebeest and zebras, the park hosts a wide range of species, including elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, leopards, black rhinos, hippos, and numerous bird species. The variety of habitats, which includes grasslands, savannas, woodlands, and rivers, contributes to the richness of the wildlife. The Serengeti National Park has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is committed to various conservation activities to protect its extraordinary biodiversity. Efforts have been made to combat illegal hunting, preserve natural habitats, and involve local communities in the sustainable management of resources. Return for dinner and overnight stay at Into Wild Camp – Central Serengeti (or similar)

Day 4 – Serengeti

The Serengeti is home to one of the few remaining populations of black rhinos in Tanzania. These majestic animals are threatened by illegal hunting for their horns, and conservation efforts are underway to protect them. Serengeti lions are known for their hunting prowess. The park's open grassland provides an ideal terrain for the lions' hunting strategies, as they often work together to encircle and hunt prey. Dinner and overnight stay at Marera Valley Lodge (or similar)

Day 5 – Tarangire

Tarangire National Park is a protected area located in the northern part of Tanzania, known for its scenic beauty, rich flora and fauna, and the presence of the Tarangire River. Tarangire is located southwest of Arusha, in the northern region of Tanzania. It is an integral part of the so-called "Northern Circuit," a famous route of national parks that also includes the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Manyara. In the afternoon, transfer to Arusha or Kilimanjaro airport
